About Sandon Garden Centre, Chelmsford, Essex

Plants and produce have been sold on the site of Sandon Garden Centre for decades.

In 1998, the Doubleday family purchased the site, formerly Claremont Nursery and we have been gradually transforming it ever since into the business we have today. Throughout the period we have strived to remain sympathetic to our idyllic location and maintained our focus on quality, service and the desire to be "a little bit different" to other garden centres.

In the Autumn of 2010, with the support of our customers and local residents, we were finally granted planning permission to move ahead with the long awaited Lunch Cafe, due to open in the Spring of 2011.

This additional attraction will enhance your visit whilst we remain true to our vision and bring you the perfect place to visit and relax with friends or family.
